He knew he shouldn't be interested in her but he  was anyway. Alucard had been intrigued by Abby ever since they had found her in the warehouse. He had never been so-

"Obsessed," Pip said bluntly one night. Alucard cocked an eyebrow.

"Excuse me?"

"You, my vampiric friend, are obsessed with this girl." Pip wore a smirk that had slowly started to spread across his face. "I can tell you are thinking about her right now."

"First of all, I'm not your 'friend', and second, I have more important things on my mind than women." Alucard replied, fishing out the key for his room.

Pip shook his head laughing. "Yeah, sure, and I don't sing the Eskimo song on a daily basis."

Alucard narrowed his eyes. "Wipe that goofy grin off your face before I do it." he warned and Pip stopped but he continued to think, You're still obsessed.

Sighing in exasperation, he srode into the room and strode over a large wicker chair in the corner, away from the window that she had broken. Almost immediately when he closed his eyes, her image appeared behind his eye lids.

She was pacing down a shattered glass covered street, being careful not to step on anything. Her eyes were narrowed in concentartion, consumed by her own thoughts. Pressing her fingers to her temples, Abby stopped mid-pace and started to return to the surplus store when she froze. Her head snapped up in the direction of the noise. She pulled out a pistol and-

The image went fuzzy and he lost it. Alucard blinked a few times before turning to the package of hospital blood. He slit the top with his index finger and poured it into a small bowl. Could I be obsessed, he thought. No, he dismissed, I'm just 'mildly interested.' He laughed to himself, swallowing the last spoonful.
